Celebrating Korea-India Diplomacy 50th Anniversary, ‘Here is Korea City’, Promotional Content for Korean Cultural Heritage Aired
Seoul, Korea – To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Korea-India diplomacy, the Cultural Heritage Channel, run by the Cultural Heritage Administration (Director Choi Eun-cheon) and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation (Chairman Choi Young-chang), will open the Korean national heritage promotional content ‘Here is Korea City’ featuring ‘Anupam’, Indian actor, who took an acting role in ‘Squid game’ this year.
Inspired by a campaign video in “ABP News”, Indian media last year of a journey to Korea of an Indian boy misunderstanding the pronunciations of Curiosity and Korean City, this series features “Anupam”, Indian actor who played the “Ali” in the first season episode of ‘Squid Game’ answering to solve India’s curiosity about Korea through the cultural heritage if Korea. Anupam, who generally has interests in Korean history and traditional culture, added “I am truly grateful to promote Korea’s great cultural heritage to India through this series, and I hope the relationship between Kora and India becomes stronger in the future.”
Content of ‘K-Heritage ‘introducing four themes: “Plays, Martial Arts, Exchanges, and Food”
Release one episode every week from, August 15th, which is the Independence Day of both countries to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea-India
Introducing a total of four episodes: Plays, Martial arts, exchange (the 50th anniversary of Korea-India’s diplomatic relations), and Food, ‘Here is Korea City’ is a “K-Heritage Content” where Anupam visits four Korean cities to explore and experience the cultural heritage of each region and compares it to Indian history and culture.
This consists of interesting topics that Indian viewers can be curious about through introducing ‘Korean Diwali Festival, Seonyu Julbulnori’ (in Andong, Gyeongbuk) in Episode 1, ‘Indian traditional martial arts and Korean Taekkyeon’ (in Chungju, Chungbuk) in Episode 2, ‘First Indian to come to Korea, Heo Hwang-ok (in Gimhae, Gyeongnam) in Episode 3, and ‘Temple Food is Nirvana food’ (in Jangseong, Jeollanam-do) in Episode 4.
