Bea Alvarado holds an Economist degree from Bogota’s Universidad Javeriana.  She decided to combine her business knowledge with her love for art and found an inexhaustible source of inspiration in Frida Kahlo. Frida, one of the most iconic artists of the 20th century, left behind a profound and touching legacy through her life. Convinced that Frida’s life story should be shared with the world, Bea Alvarado embarked on an ambitious project to promote and disseminate Frida’s legacy worldwide.

In recent years, Bea Alvarado has become directly involved in the cultural and artistic sector, creating, and collaborating with cultural organizations to hold the Immersive Biography of Frida Kahlo, the Life of an Icon. These exhibitions have already traveled to cities like Barcelona, Brussels, Tel Aviv, Doha, Sydney, New York, and Sao Paulo, among others.

“Frida Kahlo: The Life of an Icon” incorporates the latest immersive technologies, virtual reality, and monumental mapping while preserving the spaces that make the experience of diving into this artist’s life unforgettable. Through timelines, photographs, traditional clothing, her bed, and even elements she participated in and promoted, such as the Altar de Muertos (Day of the Dead Altar), this project offers a unique experience that captures the essence and spirit of Frida Kahlo.
