ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE is an organization that is managed and coordinated by trained Rotarian volunteers. They truly believe that one of the keys to world peace is through understanding people in different cultures around the world. And that’s why the organization offers study abroad programs that enable students from different parts of the world to discover another culture, learn a new language, and thus, truly become global citizens. Their programs include high school abroad, a gap year abroad, and summer abroad. Typically, almost 10,000 students study abroad each year with the organization.

Answering a query, the company spokesperson said, “Exchange programs abroad teach a lot more than academics. Every exchange program is a course on how to lie within society, advance within a specific career choice, and many topics. Here are its main benefits: Students use their own minds to find sense of purpose in their lives, without depending on their parents. They develop respect for cultures and some may be interested to learn a new language. The programs also teach students about the basics of leadership.”

Want to enroll in high school summer abroad programs? ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE offers adventurous short-term summer abroad exchange programs that can take the form of family-to-family exchanges and international youth camps. For the family-to-family exchanges, it typically involves two families who agree to send their daughter or son to be hosted in a foreign country by another family with a similar-aged daughter or son. The son or daughter can spend three to four weeks with their host family, and the other son or daughter of the hosting family travels back together to the first student’s home to be hosted for the next three to four weeks. So, both families send their children, and both families host the other child. However, the length of stay is not fixed as it can be decided and agreed upon by the two families.

The company spokesperson said, “Furthermore, students get to make friends with children from different parts of the world and the entire process of admission also teaches students about visas and accommodations. For those who now want to enroll in an exchange program, they can contact us.”

When it comes to the summer high school abroad international youth camps offered by ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE, they are technically not an exchange, but they also enable social and cultural exchange between youth from different countries. The program typically brings together youths from 10 to 20 different countries and cultures. To enroll in any of these two programs, the student must be between the ages of 15 to 19 at the time of their departure and must be sponsored by a local Rotary club. In addition to this, the student must pass medical and dental health exams, submit their high school transcripts showing above-average performance, and be recommended by a high school teacher to participate in the exchange. Since the time spent during the exchange is usually short, tourist visas and affordable airfares make these programs extremely convenient and affordable. Those looking for the best summer high school abroad programs for students can contact the organization.
