Asteria Diamonds extends lavish generosity at the MIPIM
When it comes to the high flyers and industry leaders in property, MIPIM is the place to show up and be seen.
Now, an annual event, run in Cannes, France, all the who’s who in this booming industry came together in mid-March to “make a racket” and watch a doubles tennis match, whilst raising cash and the profile of LandAid, a charity for young homeless people in the UK. There were also funds raised for smaller select charities, focusing on other issues, such as helping children with learning disabilities enjoy tennis.
Populated by celebrities, hosted and played at by Tim Henman himself, one of the best British tennis players of all time, this event was a winner from the start.
Asteria Diamonds, known for both their commitment to style and their generosity, were proud to be invited to this event by one of the key organizers, James Lugg of Folio UK, a personal friend of Asteria Diamonds. Whilst the event raised a truly remarkable £51,000 for LandAid and other charities, Asteria took this opportunity to do their part through a special donation.
Asteria was proud to donate a rare canary yellow diamond ring, known as the Sahara, to be auctioned. Like other items presented, the Sahara was part of a silent auction, so the amount raised from this spectacular ring alone, remains unknown.
The Sahara iteslf, is a unique ring that boasts a delicious radiant shaped yellow centerpiece. It is crowned with a fascinating selection of baguette and brilliant shaped colorless diamonds, all expertly crafted into an 18-karat white gold band. The event host, Tim Henman stated that he was ‘delighted’ to work with Asteria Diamonds and quite astonished by their generous donation.
Asteria Diamonds, in turn, felt honored to be able to contribute and were delighted to spend an evening having a private dinner with Tim, and special friends. The tennis tournament itself, consisted of an exciting doubles match and was a fantastic opportunity for the blue-chip property heads to make connections, raise funds and enjoy themselves.
The Asteria entourage took part with some serve and volley on court with new friends from the property elite and arranged some private viewings for some of their other outstanding diamond jewelry pieces. If this event was anything to go by, it seems that the MIPIM was a game, set and match for everyone involved.
